Care for ingredients begins with care for landscapes.
On stewardship, sourcing, and materials.
Small producers
We work with individual growers rather than commodity suppliers. Direct relationships allow us to understand the methods behind each ingredient properly.
Regional knowledge
The Bhut Jolokia has been cultivated in Assam for generations. The honey traditions of the Sundarbans are specific to that ecosystem. We source from these places because that knowledge is not replicable elsewhere.
Transparent traceability
Every ingredient has a named origin. We publish these on the Provenance page and on the bottle. Nothing is hidden in our formulations.
The Sundarbans
Our honey comes from one of India's most ecologically significant regions. We source exclusively from harvesters who work within established ethical boundaries for this ecosystem. The honey is NMR-tested for authenticity on each intake.
Harvest-determined production
We do not forecast demand and source to match it. When the peppers are gone, the batch closes. This keeps our sourcing honest and our volumes genuinely small.
Packaging
Glass bottles — reusable, recyclable, deliberately kept. Shipping in recycled and recyclable cardboard. No polystyrene. No unnecessary materials. The bottle is the experience. The packaging simply protects it in transit.
"Less production means less waste. This is not a virtue, it is simply the consequence of making things carefully."
